At what show did Jerry say, "We'd like to now do a song called Moon River," and what song did they then play?

RULES: From memory--no searches or anything. Clues to follow if needed.

Oh I want to know this one. Moon River is on my list of Most Awfulest Songs. I had to go to dance class as a kid, and the piano player would invariably plunk away at Moon River as we waltzed awkwardly in party clothes, with the guys sweating through my white gloves. All the girls had to wear gloves. I would love to know the Dead's version of that Torture Song.

The good news is that they didn't actually play Moon River. The question is what song did Jerry think was so totally unlike Moon River (or so I suppose) that it would be funny to introduce it as Moon River?

Same show, also from Jerry: "The number tonight...everybody check your coupons...tonight's lucky number is ten...What? Eleven? Eleven. Pardon me."

Again, what show? And before what song?

Didn't remember the first quote, but the second one stuck:

1966-11-16. It's at the end of the Pain In My Heart track, right before BIODTL, of course.

As it turns out, the "Moon River" quote happens at the end of the BIODTL track, right before...Cream Puff War!

We have a winner! Your prize is an order of profiteroles, which should arrive by express mail on Thursday.

The other great bit of banter from that night (which would have been my second hint), during Bill Graham's introductions: "On the far left, on guitar, the Charles Atlas of the psychedelic set...the Grateful Dead."

""On the far left, on guitar, the Charles Atlas of the psychedelic set...the Grateful Dead." "

Now that I recognized. I keep picturing Jerry flexing in the back of my brother's comic books and asking me to send $3.99 AND a SASE.
